I spent much of the 1980s working as a freelance photographer in Europe and returned to America in 1990. Then in 1995, I made a life-long dream come true when I traveled around the world for eight glorious months. Instead of taking pictures on the trip, I kept a journal, which led to what I feel is my "true calling", writing poetry. My poems have appeared in both national and international literary print magazines and in numerous literary websites but I still peddle my time as a private tutor, which is not half as bad as it sounds. In fact, I no longer want to live on icebergs, which is a good thing since they seem to be disappearing.
